The Morning Routine by Bryan Carson

Now being 12 years on Disability, I had decided over a decade ago not to live a trivial, or mediocre style life.

Achievement and great success have always been a routine well considered, as I strongly feel it should be for all. Many days might not be often rewarding; however, I believe remaining active in a positive direction, provides movement forward in reaching win.

I’ll openly admit there are some periods that feel a loss- but not all times are made to be a lottery win yet designed to mentally train human beings to better understand life obstacles, so we become better focused on how to remain clear. Years ago, I would look at myself as a loser because I always felt like I needed some sort of reward to reveal greatness- but I soon realized that’s not always necessary. Good health, positive thinking, and focused education are the norms to remain powerful.

Looking at myself like I lived a meaningless life or feeling Obese was no longer a habit. Spending way more time routinely taking care of myself, the medically instructed way, and personally decided; could be characterized as a weekly hobby also daily norm. Refusing to fail had become a mainstay instead of feeling like there was no chance for me. Having those negative emotions is toxic for individuals and should be thrown out immediately!

Self-love and know-how work better for oneself.

My mornings begin with all sorts of beautiful music listening. That’s what I’m enjoying at this moment.  Today’s selection is historic Jazz by John Coltrane. Later this afternoon I might decide Classic Hip-Hop sounds from “The Roots”- I might even end my day with some “Eagles” Classic Rock. Whatever selections made, there will be magical musical movement all day long!

I’m working on my first novel writing which I hope will be published once completed- however writing alone has become pleasant relaxation. The weather today has started rainy, but the News report revealed it should conclude close to noon- then I’ll probably go for a walk in my local park. Cooking has always been a joy, and I do it well, so when I return home from my exercise the kitchen will become the new playground. Once my preparations are completed, a warm cup of loose-leaf tea which I’ve enjoyed sipping for years will be served. Later if needed, a relaxing beard shave and hot shower will put a smile on my face providing comfort like it always has. Finally, being a lover of information and events taking place globally, will be pursued using digital tools created to allow quick awareness.

In closing I want to share just because many of us might be faced with physical challenges, doesn’t mean we are faced with defeat. Epilepsy is never going to be the ruler of my life, nor will it depress me and it shouldn’t you. The goal pursuits considered years ago remain active even now in my late 50’s.

To all my “Tonic Clonic” comrades please remember, you’ll always be able to go places in life if you possess physical fitness and mental awareness. So, stay active, make your move- let’s Go!
