Our Initiatives

At Angels of Epilepsy (AOE), our mission goes beyond awareness.

We provide direct, practical support to individuals living with epilepsy and the families who support them.

How Our Initiatives Work

Living with epilepsy often brings unexpected challenges—medical costs, transportation barriers, safety concerns, and moments of instability that can feel overwhelming. Our initiatives are designed to meet people where they are, offering support that addresses real-life needs with dignity and care. Each initiative represents a focused area of assistance, built to reduce barriers, promote safety, and provide relief during difficult moments.

AOE’s initiatives operate through community funding, grants, and donations. Because resources are limited, assistance is provided based on availability, and some programs may have a waiting list. We strive to distribute support equitably and responsibly, prioritizing urgent needs whenever possible.

If you or a loved one is seeking assistance, each initiative page provides:

  • Clear information about available support

  • Eligibility guidelines

  • A simple way to request help

AOE Core Initiatives

Seizure Safety & Medical ID

Promotes safety and emergency awareness through medical identification accessories, such as seizure-alert necklaces and bracelets. This initiative helps ensure first responders and bystanders can quickly recognize and respond during a seizure.

Prescription Assistance

Provides financial assistance to help individuals maintain access to essential seizure medications when cost becomes a barrier. Gift card support ranges from $25–$100, depending on available funding.

Transportation Assistance

Supports safe transportation to medical appointments and pharmacies through Uber or Lyft vouchers, especially for individuals who are unable to drive due to seizure restrictions.

AOE Relief + Support Packages

Offers short-term relief during periods of hardship by providing food assistance and essential household items to individuals and families affected by epilepsy.

A Commitment

Rooted in Care

Every initiative reflects AOE’s belief that epilepsy support must extend beyond diagnosis. Stability, safety, and access to care matter—and no one should have to navigate these challenges alone.

If you need support, we encourage you to explore the initiative that best fits your situation and reach out. If you are a supporter, donor, or partner, your involvement helps make these initiatives possible.

Together, we are building a stronger, more compassionate epilepsy community.
